Top Case on 03 XT600E

Hi
I am thinking about getting one of these to use on my XT600E along with soft panniers. Has anyone used or seen one?
They look ok and I have already got the plate to fasten it on to my rear rack.
They also do a smaller size

Cases TREKKER OUTBACK 58 lt -Black Line - GIVI

Thanks in advance

I would say its a bit big

I got a brand new one for 30 quid off amazon and only 30 litres, its about right.

Dont like putting too much in it though as I dont want weight up that high.

Yeah it is a bit big, they do a 42ltr size also but they do look a bit better than the standard Givi

Hey Wayne!

Do you really want 58 Ltrs of weight up so high on the rear rack?

Think about what exactly are you planning on putting into that case and reduce it to half (at least that what the experts say!!)

I've ordered a 36ltrs hard case by B&W from e-bay for £37. I think it's a bit too big but, for the price a get a water/dust proof airtight, virtually indestructible case, similar to Peli cases and the likes!
I'll let you know when I get it, if was in fact a good deal!

Cheers,
RN

Yeah I know what you are saying, it is big but getting the smaller one is a better option, I want a lockable area somewhere on the bike as i am going with soft panniers. I wont be putting too mush weight in it.

Cheers :D

Hey Wayne,

know what you're saying!

If your going for soft luggage check out these guys.- ATG - All Terrain Gear
Overlander Soft Luggage Pannier

I've ordered a pair (should get them next week).
The guys have been great and genuinely helpfull.
The gear seems pretty good and the guys are adv riders, so know what their selling!
I'll post some pics and first impressions as soon as I get them!
Even with postage and customs fees they are a cheaper alternative to the major European and American brands
They have a IP66 rating - for example the "bomb proof" Pelis and similar have a IP67!?

Cheers,
RN

Hi RN

I was looking at getting a pair of these Walter Colebatch Adventure-Spec Magadan Panniers MK2
I saw them in the flesh so to speak at the Donington HUBB meet.
They are good, and slash proof

Just had a look at the link you put on, they look good also

Wayne
