Travel Insurance
 

Hi! I am 66 and intend doing a round the world motorcycle trip in April 2017. Just checked out travel insurance with Nomad Travel, but they don't insure those over 65. Does any body know of an insurance company I can contact who offers a policy to over 65s?

I a do not know your location or duration of your planned trip. If you are in the UK try John Lewis, they will cover travelling by motorcycle up to 30 days per trip.

If you are UK based then try FlexiCover, they offer 18 month gap year travel that actually covers almost all use of a motorcycle, on-road, off road the lot. From memory their standard policy covered 18 - 69 years old.

Does anyone know of travel insurance for over 70's that doesn't cost the earth. I used to use World Nomads but cant now. I am based in Oz and want to go to Africa next year,

Linda, I have just signed up with policies@fastcover.com.au who are OK with over 70 and will extend a policy if you need more time after the first 12 months.
Not a lot dearer than world nomads (bastards!!) were when we were under 70 and they cover a lot more stuff even on their cheaper version.

No idea if they cover donorcyclists though.

Trouble is all the others that will take us on either have crazy prices, or will only cover for short trips which is useless to us as we are away for more than 12 months each time.
