Travelling and selling a car in Western Africa
Hi,
Myself and a friend are planning a trip to Mali with the intent of selling a Toyota Hilux (We heard this was a good choice). We're travelling through Morroco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and finally Mali. We've heard Mali has a good market for used Toyotas and we're hoping to make some money to cover our trip down there. We're setting off in May from England. Any information from fellow travellers who have done this kinda work before would be greatly appreciated. Questions: Is a used Toyota the best choice? Any major laws we should be aware of? Should we arrange a buyer prior to the trip? What currency is best to take when travelling across Western Africa? Many thanks |

Hi,
Maybe this helps: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...-in-mali-79776 Cheers, Gee p.s. It's becoming more and more difficult to import used, scrappy cars in (Western) Africa, which, imo, is a good thing! :thumbup1: |
