African leg of RTW - Nov/Dec/Jan 2000/20001
 

Haphazard journalist, experienced traveller but novice off-roader, on clumsily modified XT600, seeks co-conspirators for chaotic African adventures. Leaving UK Nov 20th, heading overland to Tangier, Dakhla and Dakar, then onto Bissau, Bamako, Timbukto, Lagos and into the great unknown. Would particularly appreciate help/advice about Cameroon, CAR and Zaire. After sporadic accomplice rather than constant companion.(this sounds like a lonely hearts ad - but isn't!)

We spoke before about XTs. Good luck with the trip. If you're heading south of Zaire, drop me a line. Could hook up in the south, do some adventuring in Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and Zim. It's all good riding country.

You can get Cameroon Visa in Lagos for $50 US ($5 bribe for getting it quick) , I got one Feb 2000, was heading up to chad , so entered through the North, nice place
