Algeria & Tunisia October 2010
Just testing the water to see if anyone is interested in joining me (probably with a vehicle) for a 4 week (ish) trip through Algeria and back through Tunisia. I am likely to be taking a LR 90, although a bike is an option.
I live in Jersey, so will probably drive to Marseille and then ferry to / from. I have been across Africa before (UK - Cape Town) and am fairly experienced in this sort of trip, but would welcome another vehicle / person / bike or two. If you are interested, please drop me a line james{at}grafters.com James |
James, I am looking into a trip through North West Africa around October 2010. I am planning between 2 - 3 months and would love to start with Algeria, onto Niger, looping through Mali, Guinea....and onto Morocco.
I am still reading up on options, routes and trying to find the best bike to do this on. My trip is still very flexible and open to other interested parties. I will be hopefully be doing this on a motorbike, +-600cc, still be be chosen. If this suites you or part suites you, perhaps we could join up for a portion of the trip ? |
Sounds promising.
Borders are still difficult and it seems as though getting into Algeria is a possibility, but then getting out and into another country (Morocco, Libya) looks unlikely. I too am pretty flexible. Happy to go solo on a bike, or take a land rover with trailer or any combination of that. Keep in touch. Where about in London are you? JB |
I am trying to plan a trip London-Capetown from Nov-Feb, I only have those 4 months off work and though i am flexible by +/- 1 week either side of those dates it must be during that time. I was looking at using a Landrover 110. having read Trichelia trip plan I might be interested in that as well, all ideas
