Anyone Around Uyuni Bolivia Now?
Hey everyone. we are 2 canadians on a dr650 looking for someone to ride with at uyuni and perhaps south. anyone in the area let us know. we are making our way north thru peru, ecuador, and so on to canada. not in a hurry. In atocha now (the ride here from tupiza was amazing) and if anyone who has been there reads this could you please donate some info regarding fuel, and how to not get lost.
cheers dan and sarah |
Probably to late but ill be there soon
in 2 or 3 days |
Hi Folks, in Uriondo just south of Tarija now but heading for Potosi and on to Uyuni in a day or two. Please keep me posted on the fuel stations and I'll hopefully see you there.

Bugger. Just checked the weather forecast. Thunderstorms between here and Potosi for the next few days.
I might be a few days late guys, I don't fancy riding in mud much. |
Ay up folks,
Heading from Potosi to Uyuni today. If anyone is still there, please give me a shout. I'd feel far more confident about getting off the beaten track if there was more than one bike. Dunc. |
Salar Uyuni about a week from now...
Hola.
Currently in San P.d.Atacama. Will head into Bolivia within the week and probably via Ollague (Chile) -> Uyuni, and plan to do an exploration on the Salar. Not sure about routes / fuel / etc yet; may be safer teaming up if convenient. For example maybe with someone who has a GPS ;) We're 2-up with luggage so don't want to risk Paso Hito Cajon from Chile. Maybe see you over there - if your weather doesn't change. Any info's or advice for this route or even others incl Paso Hito Cajon, I'm interested. Ciao Kendo |
Also probably a little late.. I'm in the south of Bolivia, just left Uyuni, but if anyone's around send me a message, also if anyone wants GPS co ordinates to some of the cooler parts of the Bolivian Salar hit me up!
Cheers, Russell. |
