Anywhere But Uk End of April

Being a Republican and anti-royalist I'm looking to be anywhere other than in the UK during the weekend of 29th April to 2nd May, preferably for at least a 2 week period. It's becoming too much already and I need to escape from these parasites; so if your free?

I like yer style.
One advantage of living up here is that we don't have so much Royalist propoganda.

Hope you find a like-minded travel buddy :thumbup1:

Old Git, how very unpatriotic - If ever any royals want to get married and the nation wants to celebrate by having an extra bank holiday then I'm all in favour of it* :thumbup1:

* Just as long as the petrol stations up in the Highlands don't close on that day. :mchappy:

I am not unpatriotic I love my country, I just disagree with the current constitution.

I don't want to get in a political debate here about it, I think it's the wrong forum, I just want be away during this period for my own reasons and wondered if anyone has any plans themselves.

Damned internet forums, the intent of my post was misunderstood - Couldn't give a monkeys about the royal family, I was just celebrating the fact we get an extra bank holiday this year.

My apology's for the misunderstanding bier

You could try heading for anywhere which starts with Islamic Republic of, you should be fairly safe from royal revelry there.:scooter:

I'd avoid Libya - according to Mr Gaddaffi he's 'like the Queen'

There is the 53rd Tesch-Travel-Treffen happening near Malmedy, Belgium from the 29th Apr til 1st May. Loads of Germans drinking beer, eating wurst and talking about bike travel. Sounds good to me, and timed nicely too.

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 10:32.
