Australia (ship bike to) India overland to UK. 2015.
 

Looking for fellow traveller(s) for trip from India overland to Europe and UK to then visit Manx GrandPrix in Aug 2015. Will spend some time travelling around India then to Europe via Pakistan, Iran. If at the time it looks not possible then plan B is via China, The Stans and into Europe. Am at organising stage so far, looking into all visa, Carnet and preparing bike. Will be shipping bike from Brisbane around April May next year 2015. I was initially looking at doing the trip in reverse from UK to India but it is cheaper for me this way. Anyone interested please drop me a line.

Hi nwildsmith, I worked for an China adventure tour company who focus on riding and driving tour in China. for your plan B via China, some info for your reference:
1. if you would ship your motorbike to India, then enter China from India-Nepal, it will be Zhangmu border of Tibet of China, the procedures will be complex and the price will be high.
2. might you can consider another option like floor 2 ShaneBaby, ship to Thailand, then you can cross Laos to China via Mohan border of Yunnan, it will be much easier and cheaper.

For China part, the documents and guide is necessary, also a supporting vehicle, so if you have more riders to join you for China part, you can share the cost. sure, make a group with ShaneBaby will be a good idea too. :)
