C. America ride starting from HU Event - Sept/Oct 2016
 

Hi adventurers,

I am getting ready for a ride of 3-4 months (maybe more) across central america and i feel like the next HU events in north carolina or california would be a great gatering point as i start from Montreal.

Are there any other riders thinking the same way !?

I am 28yo, this will be my 4th major ride, and on a DR650 this time. :scooter:

I started my South America ride from the NC meeting last year. Having a place you must be at a particular time helps in actually getting on the road. There is always something that will make you delay departure, but if you pay for the meeting, you will be there

I'm heading to California the first week of Sept, leaving from Pittsburgh Pa. If you want some companion to Ca. let me know.

I set my mind to go at the North Carolina meeting in the first week of October. Then I will be on the road to Panama for a few months.

I am roughly on the same plan as you: NYC to Argentina via my DR650. I'm 38 yr old male and speak some spanish.

Leaving NYC the last week of Sept and meeting a (non-bike) friend in Austin, TX the first weekend in October. So my plan to was to cross over into Mexico after than, probably around Oct 5th, but that is flexible.

Would love to have a partner for at least parts of Mexico due to safety concerns. PM me if you're interested or at least to exchange contact info in case our paths cross later in C or S America.

Hey Charles, i'm 26 and am planning a similar ride to central and south america. I'm using tge hubb event in California on sept 22nd as a launch to start my travel south. I'm thinking through baja and then over to the mainland but i really have no set plans. I speak some spanish but wanna stop in antigua for a couple weeks and learn more. Should be a freakin epic ride man! Hopefully we catch up - it would be rad to ride together through mexico.

I'm also heading that way too soon. I'm in LA and think I'll be crossing the border next week (Tijuana, then Baja). I might be a bit ahead of other people but I have no set plan or pace so hopefully I can link up with people as and when.

I'm 29 from the UK and riding a DR650, hope to see people out there!

Hey All,

Noah here, 25 y/o american rider on a heavily farkled klr-650.

Will be entering Baja beginning on November, then ferry across to the mainland, and south until i die or run out of money.

Been seeking other riders around my age to bier with along the way or ride together.

Bringing full camping kit so if anyone is down to camp along the way, lets chat!

Also, i'd like to start an email list of some sorts of all of those who will be on motorcycles heading south, as a sort of contact list for advice, help, partnering up, etc. so PM me if your interested!
