My dream is to buy a bike in England and travel through Europe, Middle East into Asia on what ever bike or route is possible w/ U.S. passport. I wish I could get into Iran.

I'm guessing May crossing to England? Buy bike there and take off w/ someone who has similar aspirations.

Small durable bike, KLR or DRZ ?? Camping and Hostles all the way.
