Canada to Ushuaia
 

I'm Sophie (37) from the Netherlands and my motorcycle will leave for Vancouver one of these days. I will travel the first month with a friend of mine in Canada (without a motorcycle) After that I will go to America and then drive all the way down. Who has the same plans? I will cross the border to the USA around August 26th

Two of us are leaving Nevada in January for Central and South America. Fellow travellers are welcome!

Sounds like I could be following your tracks. Was thinking of leaving Vancouver Island in Sept and heading south. Possibly stopping somewhere for a few weeks of spanish school but no real schedule or plan beyond hitting the road.

Travelling to Ushuaia

I’m going to Ushuaia, currently in Southern Canada travelling to Denver.
I will be looking to leave Denver at the end of September and begin my journey to Ushuaia.
I will be looking to reach Ushuaia around the end of November/beginning of December.

2 months to get from Denver to Ushuaia, that’s fast going.

Indeed - it would take us 3-1/2 months at our average, simply to get from A to B. It took us 5 months just from Bogotá to Ushuaia, since we spent time exploring so we actually covered 25,000 km on the way.

18,000 km in 2 months would be 300 km/day. Is this possible? Yes - I guess so, however it will be a race rather than a trip, in my view.

Each to one's own, I guess, however I hope OP realises the challenge.

Just a thought,:offtopic: it really annoys people when you miss use the name America, America is a continent, North, Central and South. It is not a country, the USA is not America.

I was going to ignore this in the original post, however it's useful to be aware that for many residents of the continent the use of "America" to denote one country is indeed irritating. Most will know what's meant, however it's a good idea to be careful.

A (poor) analogy is to refer to the Netherlands as "Holland", particularly if talking to someone from Limburg or Friesland.

Hi Selecw, I'm looking for someone to go through Baja and then mainland Mexico with in January/February 2023. When are you leaving Nevada in January and do you have a planned route?

We are leaving Nevada on January 16th and will be arriving in Panama on February 17th.

We are crossing into Mexico at Agua Prieta on Jan 18th and will be heding south on the mainlnland. We would be happy to ride with others!
