China, crossing from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan September 2016
Hi Everyone,
Myself and Toon (both riding motorcycles) have confirmed a 4 day trip from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan starting 19th September 2016. Costs are 2620 USD for the two of us. If we have another person join the cost will be about 1000 USD each. More people the better it gets. Anybody considering a crossing around this time please contact us, we would welcome more people to help lower the costs. Regards Joe |
Hi Joe.
I am highly interested. I am driving a Mitsubishi Van from Poland and would like to join you. We are a family - me, my wife Magda, and 3 year old son and 8-months-old baby (son). How much would we have to pay? We are going to reach India. Best Regards, Michal Mochon |
Hi Michal,
Thanks for your interest, would be great if you guys are able to join us. Our quote was for motorcycles and riders. I have made contact with our tour company to confirm what the costs would be if you and your family were to join us with your van. Will let you know, thanks Joe |
Hi guys,
My name is Javier and we're a spanish couple travelling with a campervan 4x4. We're planning to cross china and we have to decide between the karakorum highway route and the tibet Nepal way. In case of crossing by the karakorum, how much it will cost? we're 2 person by the way. Thanks! |
Hi Javier,
The price we where quoted for Michal and his van plus family was $1400US to join myself and another rider. It would likely be a little cheaper as you are just 2 adults. Be great if you are able to join us. Michal is yet to confirm, if the both of you and your vans join the costs would be even lower. Let me know if you are interested and we can get another quote, regards Joe. |
Hey guys, I`m Jeroen, my girlfriend and I (both Dutch) are on our way to Southeast Asia in a Land Cruiser campervan. We are looking for a group to join for the China crossing and are still deciding the route, both the KKH and through Tibet / Nepal are options for us.
Can you ask the tour company for a quote how much it would cost for us to join you guys? And is the date fixed or is there a possibility to start the 17th and include the Sunday market in Kashgar? Thanks! |

Great that you might join. The costs will be about 1200-1400 USD for the two of you. Unfortunately it is not possible to leave a couple of days earlier (that is also what we tried). Apparently there is the Kurban festival from the 15-17 September, at this time the border is closed. Hope this helps - please let me know of you would like to join. We can then contact the tour operator. Thanks! |
Hi Toon, ok that is clear, thanks for the fast reply. Too bad Sunday market cannot be included, but the price sounds reasonable compared to the quotes for 24 - 49 day crossings we received from NAVO tour company. We'll let you know as soon as we've decided which route we will take. Thanks again & best regards, Jeroen

Hi again Toon, we are in the same situation as Overlandertjes so I will contact you as soon as we decide our route! Thanks a lot!

thanks in advance Doc |
Hi Doc,
We are using "Kashgar New land International Travel". They have been very good to deal with so far, cheers Joe |
Gday Joe,
Looking to do the same run on the same dates. Leaving London in 2 weeks to go to Australia. Extremely interested and would be about to confirm that I'm in, but currently having major issues with the Pakistan Visa, as I'm an Australian citizen currently in the UK, so trying to convince the Pakistan consulate in Sydney to let me send the application to them. If it all goes well, I'll be happy to join the party on the tig. |

Joe, I spoke to the Pakistan Consulate at home regarding Visa processing from overseas and found a way around it. Could I join you fellas for the same run to Pakistan from Kyrgyzstan? |
