China crossing Oct-Nov 2018: Kyrgyzstan -> Laos/Vietnam
Hi travelers!
We are two french friends planning on crossing China through Tibet in Automn 2018 in a campervan, and looking for other vehicules (motorbikes or cars) to form a convoy to reduce the agency crossing fees. The idea would be to depart from Kyrgyzstan (Irkeshtam pass) after the chinese golden week (1-7 Oct 2018) to avoid traffic jams, and cross through Xinjiang, Tibet and Yun’nan to South-Eastern Asia, in four weeks. Let us know if you are interested! Théo & Anto |
China crossing Oct-Nov 2018: Kyrgyzstan -> Laos/Vietnam
Hello, I'm solo rider planning to ride bike from France to Malaysia. is it possible to cross in Aug / Sept? coz Oct to Dec is raining season in Asia.
June - Sep is the best time to be in Asia. BTW, I'm asian. What is the price for 1 person to cross China? |
For Kirgistan - Tibet we have some Interested Bikers also in our "group", but for beginning/mid of September

So if we manage to be 4/5 vehicules, it would be around 2000€ per vehicule, all papers included (chinese driving license and chinese registrations plates) and guide included (mandatory to enter China with a vehicule), and it would take around a month. Quote:

Welcome to China

Hi theo me and wife would like to join you for this crossing and would like a rough plan of the route
please keep me informed nigele are you taking the same route also? |
Hi all,
Seems like the original creators of this group have gone quiet, although it looks as though between Ali Roy, Nigele, Nomad.r and myself we may have enough to form a group. I believe I am correct in believing we would all be looking to enter China from Kyrgyzstan in late September/early October and exit into Laos? As for the exact route in China we are completely flexible. Tibet would be fantastic to see, should permits/additional costs allow, but again, we are flexible. Perhaps I should take this opportunity to introduce ourselves properly - Joanne and myself are recently married, 31 and 28, British living in London and have taken the year off to go travelling on our two bikes. Email addresses: wilsonjet@gmail.com and nortonjoanne1@gmail.com Has anybody yet been in touch with any travel agencies? (Not sure if you had any luck with NAVO Nigele?) If not I'm happy to put together an email to a few agencies and copy us all in? To get the ball rolling perhaps if you are keen you could reply with any preferences on the week of entry, time spent in China, route, number in your party, your vehicle, email address, and any suggested agencies you may have heard of or been in contact with? I can then take that information to a few agents and see what we get back. Perhaps we may all see each other at the Kyrgyzstan border if we can pull this off! Thanks all, John and Joanne |

Hi everybody !
I'm Larry from Belgium (french native speaker) and plan to make the same trip but not before november 2018... I plan to start from Belgium around November 1st. What you also need to know is that i'll travel with a Volkswagen T2 Camper wich is 40 years old. Maybe it'll not be good for you because I'm going to slow you down... Keep in touch... Regards, Larry |
