I will be heading from Lima to Cajamarca (northern Peru), but I won't be there until January 28th. Since he is in Banos, I assume he is coming down to Peru to Jaen then continuing south from there. I have recently done 5,000 km all over Peru, so if he needs any advice, please have him contact me thru HUBB.
