Colorado - Panama March 08
 

Just found myself with some time to do one of my life dreams. Will be heading South from Boulder, Colorado the first week of March. Currently thinking Panama, but will consider TDF. Would like a partner for some or all of the trip. I will be riding a 1200GSA, am fluent in spanish and plan on camping or staying in budget places (cheaper with a partner). The departure date is a little flexible to accommodate other schedules, but will leave by March 15 at the latest.

I'm interested in possibly joining your ride but have a few questions. How long do you plan to be gone? Are you interesting primarily in riding or stopping to see the sites? Will you be packing camping gear? Are you off-roading at all or staying on the hard surfaces?
As I wrote in a similar thread, I'm 56, ride Suzuki DR650 and don't speak any Spanish. I'm pretty comfortable with around 400 miles per day and enjoy some sight seeing and cultural stuff.

I am also 56, ride a R1200GS and would like to take my time going over and back. Am planning on a month or better to get to Panama. Would consider shipping the bikes back depending on time, or even going over to SA if doing well in time and money.
