Dubai to London April 2008
 

Hi all,

If anyone is interested in joining me this April (2008) on a ride from Dubai to London via Iran, Turkey, Greece etc. let me know as soon as you can. Estimated travel time = 3/4 weeks.

I have now arranged sponsorship with a couple of companies and I've decided than rather than just have a jolly I'll do it for Charity - i.e. riders for health ( Home ). Would be good to have some company on the road let me know it's creeping up very quickly.

If you haven't already, maybe you should also post something on the Middle East Regional Forum, you might get more of a response.

When we left Dubai, my wife and I had the vague idea of driving back to the UK with the kids in a 4x4, but my wife p*ssed off her employer (by disloyally daring to quit for a better job) so, like the typical playground bully he was, he cancelled her visa immediately and frankly, after seven years of BS like that, all we wanted to do was go home.

Thanks for the advice I'll have a look for that bit of the forum. You're right the Employment Law out in these parts is rather Dickension and a lot of people I know are also fed up with it. The whole quitting your job thing is kind of impossible without the famous NOC.

The fuel is bloody cheap though...
