In Quito
Hey
I've just arrived in Quito where I'm planning to take some Spanish lessons and chill out for a few weeks before buying a bike in Ecuador/Peru/Chile. So if any bikers or solo travelers out there fancy meeting up for a beer give me a shout! |
Have you found a Spanish school that you could recommend? I'll be in there in October, plan to stay for a month or so.

Hiya
I am studying at Cristobal Colon Spanish School on Calle Cristobal Colon (funnily enough!) Would def recommend - all lessons are one to one, total emersion(no english - best way) and the teachers are all cool! In fact its a very laid back place and they have a hostel as well, although I didn't stay there as I am renting an apartment. G:thumbup1: |
Thanks, I'll contact them when I have a definite date. Is secure motorcycle parking available at the hostel or apartment? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks again.

The apartment I'm renting is at Diego Almagro y La Pinta - its pretty basic but cheap n has cable tv and wi fi + is about as secure as fort knox! the woman that runs the place is super paranoid so your bike will be out of sight behind triple locked gates!!
I'm planning on headin to Peru from Quito around mid Sept, so if you see a red Suzuki gs 500 on the road south give us a wave! Gary. |

Hi, Would you be time flexible with your departure?
I'm trying to find a partner for a trip in Peru (and if possible Bolivia) for at least 35-40 days. I'm an ecuadorian rider, my intention would be to travel mainly the andean peruvian highways. I have rode solo around my country, and i'll keep my intention to come back alone. My bike: a 2004 640 KTM Let me know if my journey can fit with yours. If no, give a ring and we can have beer here in town (099640594) RG |
