Iran to Pakistan
 

Dear All

Currently in Esfahan , Iran and looking to cross the border within the next week or so. Are there any other travellers out there wanting to team up to get through the more problematic areas.

Leaving for Yazd in next two days.

even if you have to make the tripp alone, it is no problem, the people is verry friendly and helpfull on all the way, good luck

I agree. Did it alone about a month ago.

Try to sneak through the checkpoints, starting just before Zahedan, or you will get an escort = lots of waiting around in full sunshine. I would also recommend staying at Akbar's Guesthouse in Bam, leave VERY early and try to cross the border the same day. It closes very early, due to 1.5h time difference. PTDC Motel in Taftan is said to be good. Fill your tank just after Zahedan, there are long queues in Mirjaveh and the other pumps are closed down.
