Have a nice trip, and don't forget, last person out the door should turn off the lights behind them.

We did this trip in February four years ago. Actually I should say tried to do this trip! We had bought a car in San Diego and got as far as Oregon. There was so much snow the police told us to go back as we didn't have snow chains. It's probably just as well as the heater didn't work. We ended up travelling back South and seeing the SW US. We tavelled back up in April.
Good luck if your on a bike. [This message has been edited by mcdarbyfeast (edited 17 February 2004).] |

Traveller Good luck if your on a bike. !!! That's right .... I didn't mention that I'll be ´doing that trip on a motorcycle.... ---------- PanEuropean -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a nice trip, and don't forget, last person out the door should turn off the lights behind them. IF I should find the one that is responsible for turning the Northern Lights off... I will say HI from you ... (Hey, tell the Sun yourself... but better not, not that it shuts down, taking your advise serious...then it would be cold all year long,anywhere.. .. and pretty dark ;-) ------------------ 'Live long and Prosper' |

I hope you're taking a car or truck cause last time I checked it was kinda cold up that way.[-10 to -35]in the interior of B.C lots of ice and snow, unless of course you take the ferry from Port Hardy on Van Island to Prince Rupert then you'll only have to deal with rain for the most part.To see the colors you have to get at least that far north. They are best from end of Oct to begining of May.Otherwise the nights are too bright and short so you don't get to see all the colors only white. Good luck Mark ------------------ |
Hi Mark,
the temperatures are just another Challange....thanx 4 the info!! I was in Norway in march`98, that were comparable conditions,I guess.(-20°C) -I just looked up your town..site. Little people up there.... But organized!! At least thats what they wrote there ... When do you get the first snow up there.?? I hate rain, but I love snow, so no ferry 4 me.Good idea though.
