bossies
hi bossies. i am very interested in going on your trip to africa at the end of this year do you have room for another rider.
|
Yet another one!?!?
Hey bossies, looks like you got the ball rolling.
I am also heading to Durban as soon as the clocks steal my sunlight. Have a similar route planned. So if there are any of you guys who have some great information or advice..dont keep it to yourselves!!! Bosbevok! |
Hey all. glad to see plans are coming on well.
I'm more than happy to chat about what we have found out and are planning etc Let me know and we can organise a gathering at Ace or Boxhill or somewhere. I would say that it's worth while reading and searching these boards as you will find most of your answers here. Do some leg work and i will be happy to fill the gaps. My wife and I are doing our own thing, without time restrictions, and if we happen to be at the same place at the same time then great, but we must all do our own trip in our own way. Planning too far ahead to meet up might force you to miss out on something great just because you are rushed. We wouldn't want to travel with more than 2 other people at any time (too many cooks and testosterone) One of the other guys will most prob be keen to pair up. 5ish month to go...woooohooo!!!! PS: Just reread this post this morning and realised it's a bit abrupt and makes me sound like a right unsociable git. Put it this way rather; it will be great to link up with people along the way and enjoy things together as a small group (like diving in Dahab), or the difficult bits as we already have planned with 2 others, but not the whole 20,000km/6 months. |
Hi all,
It will get busy on the road. And although the benefits of travelling with a small group are clear I agree with Bossies that larger groups come at costs of flexibility and indeed possible negative aspects group behaviour. We are still a kind of monkey's under the shiny skin of civillisations, arent we? Anyway, there are more of us looking for some hook-ups for different parts of the route. I'm one of them, and as far as I see late August/September there will be more of us heading toward Egypt for an Africa trip downwards. All it needs is some fine-tuning for when, where and how fast on which route. So this posting will get a few paged added til that time. Ordered tyres today, so I guess I will have to go! Guido |
Hi, this post is very informative; however I would like some specific information. If someone can help me then please send me a private message. Best Regards,

How much?......Depends
Hi Mike,
It will all depends on how much good time I'm haveing, money and many other factors I can't predict. Fore sure I have to be back before mid Sept. but I'm flexible in all ways. I try to e-mail you but it seams something is wrong with your e-mail. I would be very happy to have someone riding with me on my way down. I'll be passing from your country at the end of May, on my way home from London. It would be great if we meet. Have a good time. Mike Life is a journey.....Better done on a motorcycle. |
