Looking to tag along in South America in early 2014
I'm riding the Andes north from Bolivia, passing through Peru, Ecuador, and possibly Colombia from February to May of 2014.
I've outlined the planned route over here: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...124#post443288 Anyone planning on passing that same way needing a buddy for riding/camping/hiking/scallywagging? Only drawback will be my limited top speed on the highways due to my expected engine size: 250cc |
I outlined where our paths might join in Bolivia, but you may already be north by then. I live in Huanuco, Peru along the central Peruvian Andes. We open our apartment as a cheap B&B to moto riders with safe parking and a resident mechanic and shop. Stop by!
I won't be heading to Cuzco to start our big trip until mid May 2014, tho I may have a tour around Cuzco area in April.... Cheers! Toby :mchappy: :mchappy: :mchappy: |
Thanks Toby!
My schedule is still very flexible, and with any luck I'll be able to take my time in each and every country. Even if I'm just passing through, I'd love to have a local connection anywhere I can for tips and good vibes bier

I'm currently wandering relatively aimlessly down through central Chile (currently in Maule region).
I have a housesitting gig planned until February in Argentina. After that, I will be heading up into Bolivia and Peru for six weeks or so. If our paths get close, I'd be up for a riding companion. I'm on a KLR, so no speed demon. I'm pretty mellow with the velocity when traveling internationally. I'm also bouldergeek on ADV and I tend to check messages there much more regularly. Enjoy! |

I live in central Peru and run a Moto Adventure gig out of Huanuco, so any info you need on Peru, etc, let me know. I also have 2 KLRs in my fleet and some parts and a shop and would be glad to give you a hand at any fixing. Feel free to stop by our B&B when you get into this area! Toby |
Hey hey,
I'm planning on looping the above mentioned countries, before I head north towards the US - final destination is Atlanta, GA. Just like you, my schedule is very flexible and I'm open to suggestions. Cheers! Don |
Chile to Patagonia and then northbound
Hi All,
I'll be in Santiago in early January. No real plans yet, except to head for Patagonia on a 125 to 250cc bike. I'll likely continue up through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, etc. Hope to meet up with other travelers, Elisa elisarw@gmail.com travelbugblues.wordpress.com |
