Mexico & Central America in September or October?

I'm a newbie to HUBB. I'm a bold, old, experienced rider planning a 30-35 day trip from the Houston-area through Mexico (crossing at Reynosa, MX) and through Central America (stopping in Panama). From Panama I plan to ship my bike and fly back to TX -- but could ride back. I am looking for at least one other rider to accompany me on his/her bike.

I am married (but she doesn't ride) and my children are grown and doing their own things. But I love adventure and the freedom of motorcycling. So, if you also love it, and you can make the trek through MX and Central America, email me.

See ya.

Hey

Good luck and enjoy your trip. BTW, you do know that September-October is the height of the hurricane season in that region, yeah? Make sure you pack some good raingear, and don't be surprised if you run into some bad washouts.

Yo BRo,

Thankee for your concern. We got plenty of experience last September right here in the good ol' US of A; what with Katrina bearing down on us and hitting our Louisiana abode, and followed by Rita brushing by my east side. So iffen we run into any 'canes, we'll either outrun 'em, dodge 'em, or just tell the barkeep to put another cold one in front of us.

Mucho gracias.

There will be a lot of people crossing around that time. I will be crossing into Mexico around the end of August. I suggest you read/post in on of the other SA trip threads; there at least two others down below because they have not been active recently. People probably leaving or getting ready to leave- oh oh, gotta go :)

Hey garrydymond:

Zowie! Such an offer. Thanks millions. Don't know at this stage iffen I'll be transiting Mexico City -- rough outline of plan is to stay a few days in Guanajuato-area for a few days, then skirt around the City's northern suburbs and through Puebla, continuing SSE on the 150D/180D. Yet iffen we decide to go into the city, I'll send you a message.

Again, thanks for your generous offer.

BklynDakar,

I love the HUBB. Only a contributor for a couple of days and already I'm talking to fellow adventurers -- that are otherwise so hard to find. BklynDakar, I thank you for your suggestion, and will take a look-see in previous threads...... Gracias Buddy. :thumbup1:
