Minnesota to Alaska
 

After planning and preparing for months now my son cannot go with me. I would like to follow an off-the-beaten route with lots of trails and railroad beds but would not be wise to go alone. Plan was to go the month of July.

Riding a modified DR650 and camping most if not all the way. I like to ride fast but not crazy fast, after all I'm just shy of 50!

I wish I could go back with ya! I went in 2009 and had a blast, was gone 37 days and tent camped all but one. I sent you a PM with some more info.

I'm seriously considering an Alaskan trip. I ride a Vstrom DL1000 though. I was thinking about suspension upgrades but I may be at a disadvantage weight and size wise for the terrain.

I'm also going up to AK entire month of July entering Canada from Washington State. I'd like to camp and ride dirt on the way up. I ride a modified 2011 BMW F800GS. Possible side trip up to Arctic Circle?
