Morocco March 2022
 

Hello all,
Putting the feelers out, anyone interested in going to Morocco for a couple of weeks March 22 ( 3 weeks taking into account getting there and back with 2 actually there ). I'm based in South East England, and probably be riding a varadero. Would consider vanning the bike to southern Spain, save the motorway slog.

I was thinking about the same trip :scooter:, but not sure with covid situation anymore, how it's gonna develop.
One thing though, all border crossings in between Spain and Morocco have been closed for some time :thumbdown:, options are to take a ferry either in Italy or France...

I just priced up a return ferry from sete to nadir with motorcycle and 1 berth cabin, €400. That's not too bad. Friday 25 March to Tuesday 12 April.

I’m based in north Devon and was looking at the same trip in late feb / March 2022.
As mentioned by the other post, boarders are closed between Spain and Morocco and also the COVID protocol is pretty touch to get in via the other ports.
So - I’m probably resigning to the idea of a couple of weeks exploring the southern part of Spain and Gibraltar to get some warmth. Ferry tickets from Portsmouth to Spain around £400 shared cabin then a nice pootle down through Spain.

we planned to go to morocco in April five of us, we can't get across so we are doing Spain Portugal tet and a few new trails, I'm taking the van with five bikes and four are flying in to Malaga on the 2nd april, 15 days of trails, been a few times would have loved to do Morocco again but I may go down when the ferries start up again, may have a space left for one bike if its small

The ferry connections to Morocco aren't open yet, do you think they'll open up again in April? If you have any information, what's the source?

Would you mind reporting back on how you get on with taking the other bikes with the owners not present? I’m doing the same in September but it’s still a grey area in terms of what’s allowable now, so it would be good to hear a first hand experience.
