Myanmar by car January / February 2017
Since March 15 I am on my way from the Netherlands to Australia by electric car. I am doing this to create awareness for sustainability and e-mobility. My website offers people the opportunity to support me with a meal, place to sleep or energy for the car. By these people also the route is decided, I travel from plug to plug. Because of this I don't drive in a direct line to the land down under but zigzag my way around the world. When I left in March my followers sent me to Italy, than via Scandinavia to Russia and from Moscow I drove to Turkey via the Baltics, Ukraine and Bulgaria. Soon I will be reaching Iran and will ship to Dubai, from there I will go to India.
In January of Februari (for this trip it's impossible to make a planning) I will cross Myanmar to Thailand. It's an very expensive trip and I hope to find other travelers who can join me to share costs and the adventure. This is my itinerary for Myanmar: Day 1: Moreh/Tamu - Kalay Day 2: Kalay – Gangaw Day 3: Gangaw – Monywa Day 4: Monywa – Bagan Day 5: Bagan – Magwe Day 6: Magwe – Naypyitaw Day 7: Naypyitaw – Taungoo Day 8: Taungoo – Bago Day 9: Bago – Kyaiktiyo Day 10: Kyaiktiyo - Mawlamyine Day 11: Mawlamyine – Myawaddy/ Mae Sot Please contact me if you are interested and see my website plugmeinproject.com for more information about what I am doing. |

Hi,
Im looking at taking a Royal Enfield from India to Thailand in March 2017, via Myanmar. Would love to share the price of a tour. Perhaps we could keep in touch? Any idea how much the cheapest tour costs? Thanks James |
Hi, Joe from New Zealand here. I'd like to cross through Myanmar and Thailand from India sometime in January by motorcycle....but at this stage it all depends on what happens with the Thai permit situation. It sounds like Thailand may stop the permits anytime soon and introduce compulsory guiding which is bad news.
So I'm keen to share guiding costs with anyone considering a crossing around this time. I'm flexible with dates but would ideally would like to pin down something in a month or so to start the applications (visa's and permits). cheers Joe |
Hi ya all,
I'm also looking at crossing around mid January 2017, in roughly 2 weeks. Does anyone already formed a group? Cheers, Nora |
