Panama North
Hi there.
I'm currently in Chile, traveling north. Hoping to transfer to Panama, from Colombia by the end of March or early April. Depending on weather and the progress I make along the way. Would like to join one or a few other riders through central America. I'm on a Suzuki DR 650, which is of course slower that your KTM. I usually travel at about 110 - 120 kmh, on the paved roads. Let me know if your interested in joining up. BTW, I'm 51 years old and live in Vancouver, Canada. Also, if you speak Schwizerduetsch, I understand that too. I worked there for 3 years. Cheers, Andy |

I'm currently in Argentina heading back north to the US and could possibly be in Panama by early-mid March. I'm also looking for company to cross Central America. On the way south, I did only "motels" (love hotels, cheap, clean & always have individual garage for moto), will probably do the same, I'm 63 and riding a 2010 BMW R1200GS. I am from Argentina, but have lived in So. California for 40 years, so I'm fluent in English & Spanish. |

I should be heading back north to around the same time, I'll be heading back to Central Alberta. Robert. |
Going North
Glad to hear some riders are headed north.. I'm in southern Peru headed to Cuzco via Colca Canyon tomorrow. Although looks wet so may be slow going. I'm also looking for a boat around the Darian before riding to San Diego. Riding a GS1200 and would also like some company through Central America. Any ideas on where/when to meet up?

You also have an ad for selling your bike in Panama, or shipping it back to Canada. Have you decided what to do yet or do you want to see first if you find someone to ride back with? Andy |

Not my ad. I'm meeting up with 3 other riders in Tucson on the 24th, riding south, then once I hit my turn around point, riding back to Cedar City, Utah, where I'll have my truck parked. I will be looking for another rider(s) to head back north from Panama with. Robert. |
Panama north
Hey Robert.
Thanks for clarifying. must have looked at the wrong ad. If I can get my bike across the Darien, it could work out time wise. I may have a bit further to go then you do, to get there. Let's keep in touch every so often, to see where we're at. If we can make it work, I'd be happy to join you on your way back. Regards, Andy |
Update
My bike is currently on the way (ship) from Europe to Panama. In the meantime I decided to join a group / organized tour for the route Panama to Los Angeles starting on March 7. We might meet on the road.
Take care Jan |
