I just saw that you are planning to be there in late November/December. I have a place in Lima, Peru and am planning to purchase a bike there in mid December whilst I am there for holidays. However, that assumes that I can get the paperwork sorted quickly (or alternatively may rent a bike). However, I am seriously looking at doing some motorbike riding in Peru over my Xmas break (3 week). Perhaps we may cross paths, although haven't decided definitely yet.

I have just return from Peru and will soon head back to purchase a bike and just travel. I would love to know how smoothly things go with your purchase and if there is anything I should be aware of in advance.
