Do you have any info about purchasing moto in Peru? I'm looking for Honda 125, new or used. I saw a lot of Pulsar and Honda 125, especially in Colombia and Peru, and hoping to purchase Honda for 4-6 week vacation.

I spent 2 months in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru last year, and planning another trip to Peru and Bolivia later in the summer.

i just bought a cgl 125 honda todo terreno in cajamarca for 4800 soles about 1600 usd title plates and all
easy to buy here especially Cajamarca where dealer is great
I´ll be here in Cajamarca awhile I think weeks and weeks stop by if you have a chance
you can but anything here its easy don´t worry
by far nicest people I met on my trip are from Amazonas and Cajamarca departmentos in northern Peru

I didn't visit Cajamarca but managed to see ruins in Trujillo and Chachapoyas (Kuelap).

I've more questions:

1. Can you take the moto out of Peru? Do you have papers for the bike?
2. Does purchase price include insurance?
3. Does Honda dealer (Cajamarca) carry used moto as well of new moto?

Do you think Lima is good place to look for bike? Perhaps, a town outside Lima would be an idea place to start. I don't think I get handle the traffic in Lima.

btw: Did you sell your Falcon?

Hey guys, I'm a noob around here, but hoping to not be for long...

I recently moved long-term to Lima, Peru and I'm looking for a cheap dependable bike... so, right now I'm thinking about the CGL 125 TT. From what I understand they're manufactured in China... but are they the same bulletproof that I've heard about the CG 125's? Will I be able to ride in the mountains on one? Mostly I'll be splitting lanes in Lima but hope to do some exploring.

Thanks in advance for any help... info on the CGL has been impossible to find.
