Peru to Patagonia
I am currently in Northern Peru, heading south on my KLR650. My riding partner is about to head back to the states, so I will be continuing on my own. I am looking for another easy going motorcyclist (or overlander) who would like to join up. I am traveling on a tight budget and looking to camp as much as possible for the remainder of the trip. I do not have a set route, but I prefer secondary roads and am planning on going through the Cordillera Blanca, to Machu Picchu, to Patagonia and would like to ultimately make it to Ushuaia. From there, I will head back north to Buenos Aires where I will be looking to sell my bike before heading back to the states.
I plan on completing the trip mid-December. Anyone interested? |
Pass you?
My 'Around the Block Moto Adventures' tour group will be leaving Cuzco on Sept 17th heading north along the cordillera to Huancayo, then dropping down to the mountain jungle and riding back up into the Andes at Huanuco. What is your rough schedule for say Huaraz, Huanuco, and Ayacucho in Peru?
Maybe we can meet you and catch a beer together! beer bier |

Hey there Zalling,
my wife and I are currently in Cajamarca and looking to take the mountain path down to Cuzco. If you are still in the area and would like to catch up then let me know. We camp alot in the hills but move pretty slow, maybe too slow for ya! Anyway, let me know your whereabouts and at lest a beer is in order!. Cheers Mark |

You will most likely be a bit ahead of me. I am also planning on riding down through Chile to Patagonia and back up through Argentina. I may bounce back and forth a bit depending on how much of a hassle it is to cross the border. Send me a message to keep me posted on your progress once you hit the road. We will no doubt be crossing paths. -Zach |
Hey,
am doing the very same, except I chose Argentina instead of Chile. Am in Mar del Plata atm. Drop me a line if you need any info on Peru-Bolivia-Argentina borders etc |
