Pokhara to Cornwall 2013
 

Good Afternoon,


I shall be In Pokhara throughout April before setting off through India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and then through Europe, ending (hopefully) in the Shipwrights Arms in Helford, Cornwall around the end of August.

So if anyone is goung that way, the other way, is/will be somewhere on route, or just fancys a beer in Pokhara or in the Shipwrights (highly recommended regardless) then get in touch.

Good luck dude. I'm doing that in reverse at a slower pace (alas not setting off from the Shipwrights Arms), again leaving around April/May. Keep us updated anyway, it's nice to get info from people coming the other way. I'll be in Turkey from June till mid July so might bump in to you Has you sorted ALL the visas?

Yeah definatley, we could definatley cross paths, swap recommendations/warnings over a beer, that would be pretty cool.


As for visas no I havent, the problem two are well, a problem, for Iran I have to wait in order to make sure the authorisation cade will be in date when I pick it up from Dehli, so thats a concern and Pakistan is just a whole world of pain, although somewhere on the HUBB I read of a place which will effectivly sell you a letter of invitation/intinerary, now all i need is for my bank statments to show me being less poor haha,

Ben, why Helford? Do you live in the Land of the Sacred Pasty?

Depending on the date in August, I would love to pop down to the Helford and have a beer with you.

Hi Ben;

No I haven't will do soon. Just waiting for new passports. For the Pakistan one I'm gona try and go through a trekking/tour operating company or if that doesn't work out with Couchsurfing contacts, or both.

For Iran.. who knows, I'm gona try getting the visa in Turkey and just hope that it's not an 8 day one.

I'll keep an eye on here. There's quite a few people doing that region (as always) so will probably just bump in to each other here and there. But yeah let me know if you're in Turkey around June/July.

I'm landing in KTM on the 3rd of April and will spend a couple of weeks in Nepal before heading south into India. It would be great to catch up at some point.

Keith - Sadly I no, I live in Manchester, I think only about 6 people live in Helford? I was one of them for a month last year when I ran away from normality and lived in the Shipwrights for a bit, so it holds a special place in my heart and though it would make a good finish line. Hopefully I will make it back for one there rather good 'jelly jazz' nights. always a laugh.

Aran - Ill be in Kathmandu from april 2 - 5 so that could definatley work, if your heading to Pokhara then that would be easier, im hopefuly heading south to India at the start of May if that links in with your plans atall.
