Seeking travel / adventure partner for a motorbike journey (3 to 4 weeks) into the Himalayas (East India) – I have a motorbike, experience & ample enthusiasm. What you need is the will, good instincts (to verify the authencity of my offer).

Clarifying: I am not seeking a holiday partner – but an adventure partner. However, I am not seeking an expert. I imagine our ride to be about attitude, achievement, team work and the wonder of riding together in extreme and isolated terrain. Such spectacular life experience is all about who you are and not how you ride.

The Himilays in Feb? would the high pass roads be open i.e snow??

I'm planning a similar ride but likely for Aug of 2010

I'd say August makes a heck of a lot more sense than Feb. Although I know someone that did it in November and they said it was no problem, which surprised me.

Hey ya, Im 24 and super excited about this one, I plan on getting up there for probably July and August 2010 if i make it through Iran and Pakistan with no troubles. Im then looking for a way into south east asia overland on my way back home to Australia.

Hi,
I'm hoping to cross from Myanmar to NE India early June 2010, then follow the Himalayas as much as possible ( Bhutan being sorted before end of this month hopefully) and arrive in Leh in the West early August.

Weather being the key to the pace of the trip - and in no hurry to be sure !
