Route 66, Mexico Baja.
 

Plan on riding the entire old Route 66 - east to west, then down the Baja. Leaving Alberta sometime mid May. May continue across on the ferry and ride across Mexico, then up to New Orleans on my KLR 650.
Anyone interested in part or all of it?

By May things can get HOT in our Southwest and Baja as well. 35C to 40C possible. Hotter still in June.

If you go now, you should have 2 months of perfect weather. By May, it can start to creep up ... or can even be down right frickin' HOT, just depends on the weather that year and your luck!

But by mid May ... it will definitely begin to HEAT UP!

The only place in Baja it remains cool in Summer is the Pacific Coast. The Gulf side and inland Deserts will COOK.

Won't be the first time I've cooked in the desert. Unfortunately this is the only time frame I have. Work, money...the usual woes dictate.
