RTW 2017 Spring
 

Hello,
Am planning a westbound route: ex-india-through russia europe atlantic northam brazil through pacific n Aus to Bali n straight back to India. Its 365 days n starts on ist april 2017. Looking for advice n part-route partners. Will be riding a 500cc Royal Enfield.

How are you managing the Visa's with an Indian passport (I'm assuming here) ??



I'm doing a partial RTW starting from Middle-East then head to Central Asia - Russia - South Korea - US west coast - Central America - South America. The biggest issue is obtaining visas for South American countries as they don't issue visas earlier than 45 days of actual entry.

Planning is of essence in getting visa's. Should be no problem. Obviously, I will rtw-visa friendly countries. What is your concern.

My plan is to rtw from ist april onwards as mentioned here. The plan is a go as of now. I am westbound so I cross a melting and 'spring' russia and comfortable europe to cross the Atlantic n reach new jersey by july half. I have a date-route chart that has been plotted. What route are you taking? East or west and starting when. Maybe we meet somewhere. Let me know. Cheers.

My RTW starts March 2017 and I live near Boston Massachusetts. My partner cancelled.... I would really like to find someone to ride with me specifically in Russia, Japan and Africa. Since my partner cancelled, now I am thinking of starting from Los Angeles shipping to Australia, towards Japan then Russia towards the west. I leave india ist april, will fly with bike to Vladivostok and then ride westbound through russia enter europe and then crossover the Atlantic to northam and then down to southam and then crossover the Pacific to Australia and from there ride back to India. Ths is planned as a single 12 month trip. I ride a royal enfield 500cc and shall be 60 years old. Keep this in your mind if you plan to ride parts together. Cheers!!!<br />

Can you give me a better idea of what is your route up until you get to Europe?

Yup. Ist week out of india flying to VLADIVOSTOK. Around 20th of may to st. Petersburg. May do Scandinavia, else may enter europe through turkey n greece, or through latvia to poland etc. So europe around ist june for sure and about 45 to 60 days over europe ride and then fly maybe from lisbon to usa. This is as of now. While I have dated and routed on an excel sheet, it may change due to costs etc. Scandinavia is damn expensive so may go, may not. Cheers!
