Hi Engel, hope you dont think I am saying Russia is bad,ugly or dangerous - I love travelling there and I have only ever found the people really friendly, helpful and mostly honest - often much more so than many western places, however problems such as accidents injuries etc are a nightmare anywhere when you dont speak the language so my suggestion for the Mig security was for those not confident in travelling to your country it was not a knock at Russia -just another tool that is available to help out when in trouble of some sort.
I was meant to be Back in Russia this year but an injury and loss of wages has just stopped my trip till next year. maybe when I am over it would be good to meet up on my travels. All the best Jake.

I start at the beginning of April from Munich heading east, towards Hungary, Romania and then south towards Turkey. So I think we could possibly have the same route in the beginning and I'd be glad to ride together for a while.
