Salta, Argentina to Colombia...When? The next 4 weeks.
 

Currently in Salta, waiting for the snow to clear off Jama Pass to cross over to San Pedro de Atacama. Route looks like: Chile - San Pedro de Atacama, Iquique, Arica. Peru - Puno, Arequipa, Nazca, Lima, Huaraz, Trujillo. Equador - Quito. Colombia - Cali, Bog.

Lemme know if you're around. Due to shipping delays and weather, this trip is 3 weeks behind schedule, so I'll be moving fast. Wish I had the luxury not to.

We were in Salta over a week ago and looking to use those passes. It seems they are closed longer than they have ever been.

We decided to go via Bolivia, and it has been a good decision. Head North from Salta, it's a great drive and Bolivia is great. We're in Sucre right now, and have spotted some large touring bikes around town. You can then head over to the Solar to see some salt flats, then head north to lake Titicaca and on into Peru.

it's better than sitting around! :-)
