Possible travel companion?
 

About to 'retire' and am planning on buying a bike in Colombia (end of sept), traveling to lake region of Chile, eventually returning to Colombia (~ 6 months). Looking for possible companion for part, most, or all of trip.......depending on compatibility, of course. I've done some long distance bike travel through SA, but am not really a 'high tech' motorhead. Any interest?

This peaked my interest; sounds like it could fit into my plans, just wondering on purchasing and the types of bikes. No real planned destinations as it will all be new to me. Give a shout, Robert.

Thinking of buying a bike in Colombia. Something on the order of a DR650: simple, reliable workhorse, with readily available parts/repairs in that part of the world. Ridden one before........only upgrade would be a more comfortable seat!
