We entered Guatemala from Talisman border crossing. There were swamp of "helpers" distracting you. As soon as you enter Guatemala, look for the immigration office window on your left. Do your immigration first, and fumigation, then custom.
For your bike importation, you need to make copies of your Drivers License, cancelled Mexican TVIP, title, and passport. Make sure you follow copy instruction for they request back of some documents.
Make sure you stop by Mexican custom on the way out of Mexico. It's a new facility about 30 miles to the border. Keep your eyes open for it, if you want to take care of your TVIP.

After initial hardship of the border crossing, Guatemala is awesome country to ride. Try their four lane highways connection mountain villages. It's the world class riding.

Good Luck.

So keeping the TVIP open for return trip is not an option?
