I've just checked your route schedule and it looks as though we could be in Samarkand at the same time. I'll keep an aye out for your group (I'll be in my blue Land Rover Defender).

Hi guys, I will be leaving the UK around the 1st of May and following a very similar route down as far as Uzbek at least. Ill keep and eye out for you on the road and maybe a few beer

we will keep you informed about our progress and would be great to drink more than one beer :)

Slightly changed our route plan:
- skipped Azerbaijan due to risk of 3K$ deposit - no one can confirm why but it happens. Also Polish embassy informs about this practice :/
-as above we resigned from ferry from Aktau to Baku and we will travel around caspian sea to Chechnya and then to Georgia.
I will publish new schedule soon.

One more update - our team has new member - Wojtek Malina from Poland on BMW GS1200.
So we have team fully completed - 4 bikes, 4 persons - one 22 km journey.

None of the links to the silk road adventure project are working for me. I'd love to take a look at your rout. Is there any way to access the information you had on your site? I'm wanting to do a similar rout starting in August but don't have much info or any partners yet.
