South/East Africa - April to July 2016
 

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of traveling from South/East Africa, starting this April 2016.
Looking for traveler partners from South Africa to Kenya.

Currently solo traveling in Spain without motorbike. I plan to buy a second hand motorbike and equipment in South Africa and sell it in Kenya if it's possible.

I don't have Carnet. not sure to go into Kenya. If not allow to go into without Carnet, will take other country or just stop and sell it.

I'm woman and am easy going person. Have experience of motorbike trip with my BMW650 (Russia to India)

Does anybody have a plan to go Africa in April 2016?

I just arrived in Cape Town from South America, and am planning to ride to Kenya. I will spend the next 2 to 3 weeks in South Africa before heading to Namibia. Might be ahead of your schedule but perhaps we can meet up on the road.

I plan to arrive South Africa (Cape Town or Johannesburg) in 1 or 2 weeks. Hope to see you on the road :)

Just an aside, one of my riding partners entered Kenya without a carnet in January, from Uganda at Sipi Valley around the slopes of Mt Elgon. Took more than an hour to get him sorted, but meanwhile the friendly customs guys served us tea :cool4:
