I have planned a tour from New Dehli to Veinna in Jul.2006 for many adventures and some cause for orphan children of the world with banner of SOS children's villages Internationa Austria(world largest NGO who care orphan children.
any tourist who is intrested in this with us?
and any information about Enfield bullet dealers in NewDehli area ?

Hi Tareen,

I'm assuming you are thinking of buying an Enfield in India and riding it to Europe. I'm also assuming that you are a Pakistani citizen.

Check out the link "Carnet de Passage" on the left and use the search function to search the HUBB for "enfield india". You wil find that what you are planning to do is not possible. I'm not even sure whether Pakistanis are allowed to use the Lahore border crossing. They weren't when I was there, but that's a long time ago.

If you find that you can cross the border go and buy the bike in Kathmandu. Again, the search function will find lots of usefull info.

Good luck with your trip and I'll wave to you when I pass in the opposite direction.

I know a few who have done it without a carnet, but it meant getting the bike across most of Pakistan by truck and/or train. It is possible to organise documents at the Iranian border for entering Iran without a carnet.
