I will be venturing out to James Bay and then along the Trans-Taiga Road August 8thish..
This will be my turn to do this adventure.

August 8thi2011.
Detroit to U.P.
Radisson to Caniapiscau and return.
Camping along the way.

How long do you plan to be gone?

I just finished a 5700 mile trip around the midwest and I don't think I have enough vacation time left, but this is the next trip I am thinking of taking. I really want to go somewhere remote.

What are you riding?

Do you know if the outfitters along the trans-Tiaga will be open? I read on a post that a couple of guys who got to the first outfitter turned around because nobody was there and a passerby said it could be a couple of days before someone shows up.

Also, I live in New York, but I work in Plymouth, MI part time and stay in Plymouth over the weekends.
