U.S.A east to west coast august 2017

Hey, all

Heading from New jersey to Oregon, starting in late august and ending Oct 1st in Portland Oregon

would be happy to share part or all of the journey with anybody interested. I want to do a decent amount of camping and hit a good amount of the national parks, Zion, Yosemite and few more.

But I'm open to seeing and doing different things. If interested just contact me and will talk further.

My email is nalydusr@optonline.net, Dylan

We did much the same in Sept 15 - Jersey to the west coast, but went down the east coast first to NC so our route out roughly followed the line of I-40. On the way out we did (amongst others) Meteor Crater (mostly empty), the Grand Canyon (packed to capacity), Arches and Canyonlands parks (both impressive and empty once you get more than 100m from the car parks). The view everyone takes of Monument Valley in Utah is just a dirt stop at the side of the road and it was packed with people everywhere dodging cars and pointing cameras.

Coming back we followed (again roughly) I-80 and I-90 and did Yosemite, Yellowstone and a few other smaller places. Bonneville salt flats was very impressive.

Mileage was about 5000 each way and it took a couple of months. We camped most of the way. If you don't know them already you might want to check out KOA camping. A lot of people write them off as the McDonalds of camping but they're pretty much nationwide and there are times you just want somewhere easy with good facilities to pitch up.

I'm in Jersey at the moment as we've just finished another bike trip but this time up through eastern Canada and back down through New England. A lot shorter than last time and wet where the previous one was hot. Flying back to Old England in a few hours once I've put the bike back together again.

You’ll go around the world, ‘Vegas-style’ to see the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, the New York City skyline and Venice's St. Mark's Square. start your stay in Las Vegas in style with a driving tour of The Strip. outdoor travel
