UAE to Europe via Iran and Turkey

Does anyone have an update on obtaining 3rd party vehicle insurance for Iran and Turkey?
Our vehicle has UAE insurance and this cannot be extended beyond the UAE and Oman

You can get 3rd party insurance at the border for Turkey. Also don't forget Turkey has changed it's visa system, you have to apply for an evisa from April 2014 (I think) obviously this depends on your nationality (I'm British).
