Who wants to join us on a tour through Algeria in December 2024?

We’re an English-German couple with our dog in a Landcruiser, just starting to investigate options for travel in Algeria, so we need to be quick in creating the routing - but you can still contribute to create a trip together!

* We‘ll take a guide for at least the southern part of the tour, likely the whole time.
* Happy to stay 3 to 4 weeks.
* Prefer December but can do any time between end November 2024 and the beginning of January 2025.

We would like to enter from Tunisia. But I am sure we could arrange with agency for people to join from other entry points and we meet up somewhere.
Departing on a ferry that takes dogs, to Spain. From what I can see so far that would be from Oran.

Could be something like these routes taken by others, but they're just meant as conversation starters.

We’re most interested in getting to know the landscapes and culture. It’s not about hardcore deep sand adrenaline or going up and down the dunes for fun. BUT we are super happy to travel off-road and we have sand driving experience.

Anyone up for it?
Cheers,
Helen (Jens & Skopsko)

Hello,
since the Algeria - Mauri border seemed to have re-opened, I was contemplating over this route (sort of, open to suggestions) this winter.

Coming from Germany via Sardinia (Oct/Nov). Not sure yet, if to turn left or right at Nuakschott.

Happy to meet up along the way. Will drop you a message, when stars align and vague plans transform into certain dates and routes.

Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
