Yet another China thread!!! Mongolia China Laos
 

As title, I would like to transit China..North to South Mongolia to Laos. I believe this is about a 30 day trip. I am aware of the potential costs and also the savings that can be made by teaming up with a 4x4 traveller who can offer a seat for the guide. With weather dictating the Mongolia crossing I would like to cross China early June to early July. Anyone interested in joining me?.

I have a trip crossing China entering 10th September for 35 days exiting Mohan Laos, the only problem we will be entering from Kyrgystan, just a short detour for you.
We will be taking National roads 315, 219, 318, 214 calling in at Everest base camp, Lhasa on the way passing Rutog at a altitude 5300m, going to be one seriously good trip.
We will be leaving the UK the last week in July

Yes I’m I am travelling from Mongolia Ulaanbaatar crossing the china border and heading to Laos by bike.
I have a travel company that will arrange all paperwork and an English speaking guide which is a legal requirement when doing a self drive through china. This is quite an expensive option (USD12000, for 30 days) for one person. I am looking to join other travelers crossing china to share this tour option.
I am fairly flexible on dates (leaving Mongolia anytime between 1st July and 1st August) flexible on duration (15 to 35 days, it can be done in 15 days at a push, but depend son what site you don’t ;) want to see) and will take any route (as long as I get from Mongolia to Laos)
