hey guys

Just travelling up through mexico and looking to enter the states in the next few days. I am English but the bike is registered in Arizona. I can find policies for tourists with non American plated bikes and policies for american with american plated bikes but not short term policies for tourists with american plated bikes. Just a few questions.

Do I need to purchase my vehicle insurance for the United States before i enter or do I not have to worry about this until I am on Americna soil?

Do they sell vehicle insurance at the border?

Will I be allowed to enter if I have not prepurchased it?

Is it possible to get a policy for just one month?

If so any recommendations?

Hi, Did you find a provider of insurance, if not this company maybe useful, if you can help I am looking for a company to provide insurance for a UK registered car for touring America.

We crossed from Mexico a couple of days ago :)
Try www.motorcycleexpress.com, you can fill the form on-line and get a quote without speaking to anybody in the first instance.
It isn't cheap but fully comprehensive including theft, damage, puncture, etc etc and available for a month at a time.

We paid $500 for 3 months (2 X BMW G650's)
