Hi,

Has anyone managed to get a visa to get into Angola latlely?

What about getting the visa in Cameroon or Congo?

----Invitation letter a must?

from what I have heard, people only manage to get transit visas in Congo. To get a visa in South Africa seems easier.

Matadi in DRC is the place where many southbound travelers secure an Angola visa. We tried in both Cameroon and Congo in early 2009 and like everyone else I know of were rejected.

In Matadi February 2009, the process was fairly easy. No letter of invitation was required, though we did have one. Don't expect anything more than a five-day transit visa, though.

The search function will supply some more info, have been a number of threads about this. Good luck.

Hummm these are NOT goods news...
Anyway, I live in morocco and I called today the Angolan embassy. It seem very simple to get the visa... they didn't even asked for an invitation letter...
I just hope it will be that simple when we will actually go to the embassy to get them....
