Another Carnet question
 

I realise that this is, quite literally, a borderline Sahara travel forum question :-) but I ask it anyway:

Is a carnet needed to enter Cameroon? The Dutch AA (ANWB) says it is "recommended". Does this mean a bit of money at the border lets you pass without one? Will it cause problems when we ship out our vehicle? (planning to ship it back from Douala).
