Border crossing from India to Nepal
Hello everybody,
I am in India at the Moment and I got an Royal Enfield. My plan is to drive through Nepal for two weeks in March. I got a lot of papers when I bought my Bike but I have no NOC ( non objection certificate). Is it a problem to cross the Border without this paper ? Because I heard som horror storys that the police can take your Bike as stolen and you never get it back... If you have experiences with that Problem pleas help me ! Thanks a lot |
Bike Permit/Visa/Road Tax Nepal - additional question
I'll be riding west-east through Nepal too, probably entering at Bhimdatta around 5 March. I am not aware of an NOC, all I hear is that there is a road tax of about 250 NRP/day, max 28 days. But that's just hearsay.
I own my Indian registered KTM 390, but obviously it's not in my name. Any thoughts, anyone? Also, I'd like to know if anyone has recent information if a 3 months multiple entry visa for Europeans is available at the Nepal land border. My plan is to be in Sikkim/Nagaland in April, then back in Nepal in May before heading into India again for Ladakh. |
