Border crossings in South America
 

Does anyone have experience crossing borders through South America without holding the title of used vehicle in own name. Using a notary sales contract or similar instead?
I'm wondering if that might be sufficient or mostly not an option at all. Would be greatfull for any suggestions, as I'm thinking of buying a vehicle outside the country where it's registered and cannot transfer the title.doh
